“To walk around the show at London’s Saatchi Gallery is to explore the world of superyachts through art, film and photography, instead of ducking in and out of endless booths, as has often been standard practice”
Dominque Afacan, Forbes

June 2017 - Camron worked with the SuperYacht Gallery to stage the first show of its kind at London’s Saatchi Gallery.

The SuperYacht gallery bought together the leading authorities from the yachting industry for a three day event of VIP and public programming. Staged at the renowned London arts institution, Saatchi Gallery, the exposition flowed through 7 themed galleries, starting with the Business of Yachting gallery; visitors were taken on a journey through themed-rooms focused on Imagination, Craftsmanship, Innovation, Exploration, Lifestyle and Performance.

This multi-media format included photography, commissioned art works and sculpture, film, models, design objects, 3D Map projections, 360° virtual reality experience, sound installations and tasting sessions. The collection of themed galleries was complemented by a series of daily seminar talks and a 180° floor-to-ceiling immersive cinema.

A first-of-its-kind, the show was curated by Merijn De Waard, publisher of SuperYacht Times along with Dutch yacht industry expert Marijn Smit, the exposition, supported by yacht brokerage firm Edminston, is a response to outdated trade fairs and showrooms, inventing a new model that speaks directly to clients through an artistic language. Each participating exhibitor was vetted and selected for its content proposed to the organisers, who conceived of the project only last year.

The relationship between art and design and the yachting world is not new and the SuperYacht Gallery highlights this connection in its approach and physical setting.
