May 2017 - Camron PR worked alongside Swoon Editions, the online British furniture brand, to launch a pop-up shop at gallery@oxo on London's iconic Southbank.
Founded in 2012, Swoon Editions offers beautifully distinctive furniture at affordable prices. Designed in house, pieces are handmade internationally by craftsmen from India, China, Vietnam, Poland, Estonia and the UK – all using traditional techniques. New designs are launched daily, with each collection produced as a 'little edition', then the most popular pieces are then sent into full production.
The pop-up provided a unique opportunity for attendees to exclusively preview the home collections outside of the usual online platform, where guests were also able to meet the in-house design team who discussed brand news and design processes.
A carefully curated selection of trend-led furniture was showcased, from upholstered dining chairs to hand-carved stools and statement sofas. Highlighted items include the Tivoli sofa, an architectural piece inspired by mid-century style with clean lines and minimal styling, and the Vincent chair, produced by a husband and wife team based in Poland. Also on display was a selection of hand-woven rugs, constructed using traditional techniques by expert craftspeople in the beautiful region of Rajasthan, India.
The successful launch event was attended by members of the interior design community and media VIPs. The morning session was accompanied by breakfast canapes and tropical smoothies, and Jensen Gin provided artisan gin and tonics for those attending in the afternoon. The #SeenAtSwoon hashtag was introduced at the launch event and has since been widely observed across a number of social media platforms.
