On September 22nd, the New York Design Center held its eighth annual What’s New, What’s Next, a showcase of new design ideas, products, and materials.
What’s New, What’s Next has become one of the most anticipated design events in New York, with people gathering from 2:00PM through the evening to admire the latest trends and movements in the design sphere. Guests are invited to observe new products and showrooms in the building, and also to attend panel discussions, book signings, meet-and-greets, and presentations from the most influential designers, manufacturers, and editors. The success of the event was illustrated by the consistent crowds from start to finish.
This year, some of the magazines that participated included Elle Décor, Galerie Magazine, Veranda, House Beautiful, Cottages and Gardens, WSJ. Magazine, Metropolitan Home and Architectural Digest.
In addition to updated displays of products and materials, showrooms provided a selection of wine, cheese, and other h’ordeurves, making it a desirable place to enjoy an evening of inspiring design and conversation.
