French couture house Christian Dior opens its new flagship store on New Bond Street this month. Designed by architect Peter Marino – displayed spectacularly across four storeys – the flagship store is the first to display the new limited edition line for Dior Home available exclusively at the London store.
Throughout the store the interior is adorned with 30 original art commissions including a wall of porcelain figurines by Beth Katleman which creates the effect of a Toile de Jouy pattern come to life - a homage to the wallpaper in the first Dior store. Whilst the exclusive Dior Home collection is showcased in a beautiful winter garden on the ground floor filled with trellises of jasmine, alongside a dedicated series of rooms honouring Mr Dior’s legacy. Dior’s signature tones of grey, pale turquoise and pink prevail throughout the collection across home linens, crystal glassware, tableware and accessories. A handful of high-profile designers and artists have been commissioned to create limited edition home designs, including tableware by India Madhavi, Murano glass by Giberto Arrivabene and couture-inspired vases by Jeremy Maxwell.
