The beautifully designed Rivertown Lodge opened in late 2015 and has already made quite a splash in its hip hometown of Hudson, New York. The 27-room hotel is housed in a former movie theater from the 1920s and every detail of its renovation has been so thoughtfully considered.
The lobby's open kitchen, library, freestanding fireplaces and Mid Century seating make it feel much more like you are entering someone’s home than a hotel. The design has been overseen by Brooklyn-based studio Workstead (of Wyeth Hotel fame) and features bespoke lighting and woodwork throughout (the custom-made check in desk is especially stunning). Pieces from some of our favorites like Tyler Hays’ M. Crow & Company and Nanimarquina rugs can be seen all around the property as well.
Watch out for a soon to open restaurant from Jean Adamson of Brooklyn’s Vinegar Hill House.
