The Metropolitan Museum of Art has commissioned British Artist Cornelia Parker for this summer's Roof Top Garden installation. Parker was first recognized for a body of work that combined culture and popular iconography.
This installation merges two American architectural emblems: a Dutch red barn and the house from Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho. From the front the Psycho Barn looks as though you can walk into the structure, however when you move around the piece you then discover that two facades are help up with scaffolding and weighted down with ballast.
