Intelligence Pick Me Up

The graphic arts festival, Pick Me Up, returned to Somerset House this Spring and featured artists abound, established and newcomers alike, in this massive exhibition. Located in the Embankment galleries, there was a focus on sales and promotion of little-known artists, which will hopefully invigorate future careers. The sheer scale of the exhibition is quite remarkable; it contains countless rooms filled with paintings, sculptures and stencils.

Pick Me Up also contains a row of artists stencilling and scribbling works that one can buy whilst you wander through. The enormity adds a certain sense of discovery as you might ponder on one work in the corner of a distant room that others thought little of. Overall, Pick Me Up is a terrific exhibition and hopefully manages to promote the work of more than just one artist out of a grand roster of talented individuals.
