The renowned Israeli artist, architect and designer, Ron Arad, brings his 360˚ installation ‘Curtain Call’ to the Roundhouse.
Curtain Call is a cylindrical screen made of 5000 platinum-cured silicon cords suspended from an 18 metre circular loading beam from the Roundhouse roof.
The Curtain Call’s artistic content is projected on the cylindrical screen, to be viewed both from the inside and outside of the 360° cinema. Images and film have been produced through a series of collaborations with artists like Christian Marclay, Mat Collishaw, Steven Isserlis, Jude Greenaway, SDNA, Ori Gersht, Hussein Chalayan, Javier Mariscal & David Shrigley, Gabriel Klasmer & Shira Klasmer.
Before making its way to the Roundhouse, Arad’s project travelled to Jerusalem and was in the Isamu Noguchi garden of the Israel Museum.
In addition to the experience, there is also ‘Curtain Call Live’ a series of live music performances will give you the opportunity to experience a gig in and around Ron Arad’s installation.
The Installation will be at the Roundhouse until the 29th of August.
