Located at Sir John Soane’s Museum, Below Stairs exhibition celebrates the opening of the Soane’s Regency-era kitchens by combining pieces of four leading UK designers. Once you go down the stairs you will find yourself in a 19th century kitchen full of Barber & Osgerby, Jasper Morrison, Martino Gamper and Paul Cocksedge bespoke work which portray the way we live today in contrast with the 19th century scenario.
Highlights include Barber & Osgerby yellow-green Tobi Ishi special edition table with a glass finish which uses 50 layers of lacquer. For the Barber & Osgerby fans, you can also find their Port Black vase which has specially been made in black.
Curated by Rachael Barraclough, the exhibition is on until January 28th, 2017.
