Opened by Noma co-founder Claus Meyer and Executive Head Chef, Gunnar Gíslason, Agern is the newest Nordic restaurant located at New York City’s Grand Central Terminal.
Gíslason and his team created a creative, contemporary-style menu drawing inspiration from Nordic cuisine. These sophisticated seasonal menus for breakfast, lunch and dinner pull local ingredients from farms in New York State. Breakfast consists of exotic toast options, pastry selections, the Agern breakfast that includes a selection of traditional breakfast foods, and other al la carte options. Lunch and dinner both consist of tasting menus available with al la carte appetizers and entrees available. Dinner’s tasting menu includes a “Field and Forest” and a “Land and Sea’ option, both debuting 7 specially curated courses.
This tucked-away restaurant is perfect for anything from a business breakfast to a special dinner occasion.
