Founded in King’s Cross, London in 2016, Spiritland is a space for music lovers dedicated to sharing music as the artist intended it to be heard. Having gained rapid international recognition for its excellence in entertainment and hospitality, what sets Spiritland apart is its unmatched respect for recorded music history. In an age where music is everywhere and nowhere, it finds a home at Spiritland.
With DJs and artists playing each night spanning nearly every genre, Spiritland presents their music with utmost clarity, definition and precision through its bespoke sound system. Handmade to the specifications of discerning Founder and Artistic Director, Paul Noble, Spiritland’s world-class system is the ultimate in audio reproduction, an opportunity to experience recorded music at an acoustic quality rarely heard in public. Alongside a recording and broadcast studio, the speakers preside over 70 seats, cocktail bar and kitchen, energising the venue’s intimate and refined interior.
Spiritland has built an equally loyal following for its programming and events. Since inception, the King’s Cross location has hosted a series of evening listening events with Spiritland regulars, like Bill Nighy, Tom Dixon and Irvine Welsh.
Following early success, in late 2017, the Spiritland team opened their first retail-only location, a headphone bar off Savile Row, in London’s Mayfair. Focused exclusively on the sale of premium, portable audio equipment, Spiritland Mayfair made its mark for ingenuity in concept and design: the impressive entry leads to a sumptuous store interior of less than 100 square feet. Patrons who visit – one or two at a time – may enjoy a glass of Hibiki Japanese whisky and take in the pinnacle of luxury listening by way of the choice product offering.
Founded by former BBC Radio and Monocle 24 producer Paul Noble, with Dominic Lake and Patrick Clayton-Malone, co-founders of Canteen and Merchants Tavern, Spiritland is a result of their shared love of music, and industry expertise in music consultancy, hospitality and design.
