Monday night marked the beginning of The London Design Festival. We had a party for over 900 guests at The Royal Festival Hall which was a great success. The evening started with an official photocall in front of Zaha Hadid’s Size+Matter installation. She is seated with Ken Livingstone, Amanda Levete, Jude Kelly, Nadja Swarovski, Ben Evans and John Sorrell. Swarovski Crystal Palace are the official sponsors of The London Design Festival 2007.
In the Ballroom seven enormous Swarovski chandeliers glittered majestically as speeches were short and sweet, and Ken presented Zaha with The Design Medal – a prize for design and innovation.
