This week we launched Château Baccarat, a new range of glassware for wine lovers, at the Connaught Hotel. Our day started with an exclusive lunch for eight at the Sommelier’s Table – a special space in the cellar of the hotel’s new wing. Our guests were treated to some of the finest wines provided by Private Cellar and selected by our co-host Amanda Skinner. A special menu was created by Helene Darroze with a presentation by Hugues Lepin, the Head Sommelier at The Connaught. In the intimate space our guests were absorbed by the atmosphere, sampling and understanding the collection’s near design perfection for experiencing wine. That same evening we organized a wine tasting for forty guests in The Connaught Bar with some very special vintages. Every guest marvelled in the excitement surrounding the new glassware collection while they nibbled on canapés and compared notes on aromas and flavours. The results were crystal clear – oenophiles have a universal glass for tasting fine wines.
