On Wednesday night, as part of London Design Festival 2010, EDC London’s recently opened showroom on Margaret Street hosted ‘The Skyline Edition.’ World-renowned eyewear design firm Ørgreen joined forces with exclusive furniture brand Republic of Fritz Hansen™ to produce a series of Arne Jacobsen Swan™ chairs that featured the same Copenhagen skyline design as a special edition collection of eyewear by Ørgreen. The collaboration saw the bringing together of two brands famous for their creativity, high quality and craftsmanship. Guests were given the opportunity to interact with a live design workshop where upholster Hans Mannerhagen of Fritz Hansen and Tobias Wandrup and Henrik Ørgreen uncovered the creative process behind the chairs and frames. Italian treats and wine were served throughout the evening to a soundtrack of chilled tunes – a relaxed and enjoyable time had by all!
