At the corner of Endell Street and Short’s Gardens lies London’s ‘chic-est’ fish’n’chip shop. An envoy of Camron cohorts strolled over to check it out and we definitely approve. Popular in the area with professionals and students alike, The Rock & Sole Plaice is so in demand that outdoor tables squeeze across the pavement right up to the curb. The surprising experience of having lunch while taxis and messenger bikes whizz past your feet is made all the more enjoyable by prim and proper table service and an impressive variety of fishy offerings. 47 Endell St, WC2H 9AJ

On Friday Lily and I visited the Collect craft exhibition at the Saatchi Gallery. It is the first time that the three day celebration of craft has been held at this beautiful space. We were delighted to join an enthusiastic international throng to peruse the array of crafts contributed by makers around the world and curated by the Crafts Council. We saw some beautiful objects including furniture, glassware, ceramics, jewellery and even porcelain figures blowing bubbles!
