(Things we're doing and stuff we like)

Camron sent a team to Paris to spot emerging trends, new talent and inspiring ideas at this year’s Maison&Objet. This international exhibition is an influential arena which represents an exhaustive array of furniture, design, decoration and fabric brands within the interiors world. 2007 proved to be a visual feast of stylish exhibits and thought-provoking installations, pursuing the exhibition’s mission of predicting the evolution of lifestyles. The emergence of the ‘celebration’ theme was pinpointed and visualised in a series of stunning installations. Our favourite was by Elizabeth Leriche. Her creative observation, ‘Festins’ or ‘Feasts’ was displayed in 3 stunning roomsets. The first was styled and accessorized in contemporary white, the second in a dark, slightly sinister black and the last in blood red. It certainly provided a new perspective on which to view the world of the home.

Numerous exhibitions come to London but how many are outdoors, interactive and only spectacular in the dark?

Volume, the exhibition set in the gardens of the V&A, is being celebrated as one of the most unique museum installations in years. The installation space is made up of numerous poles which light up, change colour, play music and make sounds. They respond to human movement which creates rhythmic and visually stunning scenes that change every second. Your experience in the grid is guaranteed to be different to the person next to you.

The magazines slick <a href =“http://www.tendenciasfashionmag.com”>website is also helpfully in English as well as Spanish and is well worth a look.

Shop at Maison Bertaux

Cakes with your couture anyone? We love the whole concept of mixing lovely, yet totally different things – and Shop at Maison Bertaux in Soho is the ultimate combination. As THE place to pick up delightful French pastries, Maison Bertaux has attracted those with a penchant for decadent treats for over a hundred years – now having expanded their space, they’ve opened up their basement to Pippa and Max and their delightful fashion boutique ‘Shop’. Pick up Eley Kishimoto (they helped with the interiors supplying bits of catwalk for the shop’s walls), APC and Sonia Rykiel Bijoux. A favourite of Natalie Portman when she’s in town and recently listed on style.com as a fashion hot spot. Drop in, have some cake, do some shopping and chat with Pippa about her rock band!

This wonderful confiserie in St. Moritz is one of my favourite places for a hot chocolate, and a glorious selection of cakes. Hanselmann was founded in l894 by Fritz and Teresia Hanselmann who lived in the village and it is now owned by Fritz Mutschler, the grandson.

It occupies one of St. Moritz’s most elaborately decorated buildings and you can go also for breakfast or lunch. If you can’t make the journey, order their truffles by mail-order!
